The VIE - Junior Business Controller will assist the Business Controller in charge of Cartier with all financial matters related to the Maison s activity in the region, in line with Richemont Group accounting and reporting standards.
Under the supervision of the Business Controller, the main responsibilities of the VIE - Junior Business Controller are:
Business Partner
• Work closely with the Business Controller in order to provide clarity on all financial matters and therefore facilitate appropriate decision making of the brand management.
Month-end Closing and Reporting
• Calculate accruals compliant with standard accounting rules (IFRS/Group), and liaise with Accounting Team so that all required entries are booked in a timely manner.
• Review inventories (including ageing and determination of relevant provisions) and coordinate with the brand so that any potential issue is timely addressed.
• Prepare and analyse Brand P&L (by Boutique/Department) and balance sheet, and alert the Business Controller.
• Follow up main brand costs (communication, selling costs).
• Elaborate and distribute brands/boutiques scorecards (or any other relevant report).
• Ensure correct and timely completion of Group Management Reporting.
• Develop new follow-ups
• Contribute to the budgets and re-forecast budgets
Internal Control
• Participate in the implementation and monitoring of Swiss SOX within the subsidiary.
• Contribute to the formalization or continuous improvement of standard operating procedures and processes.
• Assist in annual, semi-annual and random stock takes in the Richemont Boutiques.
Other / adhoc requests
• Assist the brand with any specific analysis required from time to time.
• Relevant University degree is required
• 1-2 years of previous experience in Finance, Accounting department.
• Experienced in reporting, budgeting and/or controlling processes
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Good communication skills and ability to build relations with others
• Very good knowledge of the MS Office package, especially Excel and PowerPoint
