Perform planning, budgeting and allocation of funds for Central Maintenance activities on the basis of departmental requirement
Ensure periodic preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of all mobile equipment, spares & cranes are appropriately scheduled
Plan the need and feasibility of minor additions, modifications and alterations to existing facilities and mobile equipment
Establish emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support to all the departments across the plant
Commission critical machines and mobile equipment in departments such as SMS, RMHS, CHP etc.
Manage a team of 50-60 employees(~15-20 executives) to ensure maximum plant uptime
Drive proactive changes in Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) for reduction in inventory levels of spare parts
Institute new technology group/technical cell within the department to carry out improvements, oversee completion of agreements
Facilitate timely organization of technical trainings of Shift /Section in-charges to observe better Operation & maintenance practices
Carry out daily interactions internally with plant stakeholders, i.e. PPC, Plant operations to ensure seamless execution of maintenance. Interact frequently with Purchase & Contracts teams to ensure maintenance of minimum inventory levels of critical spares
Interact with external contractors to ensure timely availability of right equipment and spare parts
Convince & persuade critical internal stakeholders to ensure availability of required support to deliver against project timelines
Maximize utilization of existing equipment and reducing costs by implementing energy management programs
Participate in technical negotiations with vendors to incorporate required specifications for Vehicle /Equipment/Spares
Carry out daily interaction with internal employees to create specific SLAs, customer SLAs, and ensure adherence to it
Ensure adherence to safety, health and environment norms in the entire plant and build mechanisms to resolve cross functional issues
Knowledge & Experience
Role requires deep knowledge in project management, instrumentation, electrical & mechanical equipment, troubleshooting, automation
