Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with field engineers and vendors to facilitate the resolution of complex technical issues and site visits.
  • Proactively monitor VSAT network performance, identifying and escalating issues before they impact users.
  • Perform first-level troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving network problems related to RF, IP, and satellite communication equipment.
  • Manage and maintain VSAT network configurations, ensuring optimal performance and security of the network.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and other teams, offering clear and concise communication.
  • Execute and monitor scheduled maintenance activities, including software updates and system upgrades.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on network performance, incidents, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support and respond to critical network outages.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Continuously improve NOC procedures and practices to enhance network efficiency and reliability.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates 2+ years of experience in a VSAT NOC environment.
  • Exhibits strong knowledge of satellite communication principles, including RF, TDMA, and SCPC technologies.
  • Has experience with VSAT network management systems (e.g., iDirect, Hughes, Gilat).
  • Demonstrates proficiency in network monitoring tools and protocols (e.g., SolarWinds, SNMP, TCP/IP).
  • Displays excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team.
  • Exhibits a proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
