Job Title: Waiter
Reports to: Captain
Replaced by: Waiter
Basic Functions:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Head Waiter and within the limits of established The RAY Hotel & Studios policies and procedures, is responsible for serving guest orders and accommodating their needs
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Have a thorough knowledge of the hotel policies and procedures
o Abide to hotel rules and regulations on grooming and appearance
o Have a thorough knowledge of Hotel services, products and special promotions
o Have a thorough knowledge of Restaurant services, products and promotions
o Participate in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled by the management
o Participate in training sessions as scheduled by the management
o Have a thorough knowledge of the menu items and cooking methods
o Greet guests upon arrival and direct them toward their tables
o Receives food and beverage orders from captain and direct them to the kitchen
o Serve guest orders promptly, as requested
o Accommodate other guest requests and needs
o Perform up-selling and cross-selling techniques
o Ensures all tables in the restaurant are clean and ready to accommodate guests at all time
o Maintain side stations clean and stocked with needed cutleries and supplies at all times
o Receive a proper hand over from the previous shift
o Prepare side stations and stock them according to standards
o Prepare condiments and make sure they are ready on all tables
o Prepare table set up at the beginning of the shift and make sure all tables are ready to accommodate guests
o Ensure the dining area is clean and neat at all times
o Ensures all equipments are in good shape and well functioning
o Deliver and receive laundry and linen from the Laundry on daily basis
o A minimum of 2 years experience in casual restaurants
o A degree in hospitality management or its equivalent
o Have the ability to work within a team
o Have friendly and courteous manners
o Have the ability to work under pressure
