MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Follow all our company’s policies and procedures
2. Comply with “ clean as you go” policy
3. Report to work on time and in neat clean and pressed uniform including name badge to appear at your best to the guest daily
4. Work as team in your dinning room
5. Honor all requests made by your supervisor which may or may not fall within your normal duties to insure guest satisfaction
6. Follow self cashiering procedures
7. Report problems immediately to your supervisor


JOB DUTIES
1. Check station to insure all your tables are prepared with specified set up
2. Complete side work as assigned by supervisor
3. Be aware of any unavailable items in the menu
4. Handle station assigned to you do not leave the floor except to serve customers in your station, or with permission of your supervisor
5. Operate cashiering responsibilities as assigned, have any voids or deletions initialed by the supervisor or manager
6. Follow procedure as trained for guest orders; write your order neatly and clearly. Double check the order to see that it matches your guest order, prepare all guest checks before placing order
7. Give proper attention to the details of service, cleaning, beverage glasses, and ashtrays. Check back with the guest shortly after serving the order for feedback
8. Use aggressive selling techniques to increase size of sale
9. Know your product
10. Attend all menu classes, trainings, briefings and monthly restaurant meetings
11. Have necessary equipment to work with tray, pen, pad, bottle opener …
12. Be aware of daily specials, soups and drinks or any Items that should be sold
13. Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their garnish, contents and preparation methods
14. Know proper beverage, tea and coffee service
15. When the guest leave the dining room bus all tables with attention to the following areas:
• Make sure that the table is clean & in a good condition
• Sanitation of floor area, cushions and tabletops. Wipe areas thoroughly.
• Table accompaniments reset according to dinning room procedure
• Maintain dry side towels at all times for wiping chairs
16. Proper bussing procedure:
• Full tray must not exceed height of 10 ox glasses
• Glassware will not be stacked in glassware
• All silverware will be flat on tray, not on dishes
• All soiled ashtrays will be replaced with clean ashtrays taken to utility. Never empty ashtray at table
• Always stop when someone crosses your path. Be alert to everyone in your path
17. Special attention should be made to finer points of service i.e. checking back just after serving the order, keeping proper posture, and being personable.
