Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile daily stock movements (receipts, issues, transfers, returns).
  • Monitor and verify stock balances between system records and physical counts.
  • Assist in conducting periodic physical inventory counts and stock audits.
  • dentify and investigate inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Post and reconcile warehouse-related journal entries (purchases, sales, adjustments).
  • Track cost of goods sold (COGS), freight, and other warehouse-related expenses.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, GRNs, and dispatch notes.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual warehouse financial reports.
  • Ensure all warehouse transactions comply with internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard inventory and prevent fraud.
  • Support internal and external audits with required warehouse and accounting data.
  • Work closely with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate records.
  • Support warehouse manager in budgeting and cost-control activities.
  • Provide management with insights on stock valuation, slow-moving items, and wastage.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, or similar).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
