Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Manager will be required to develop and improve all of the current Operations and Customer Service processes for the supply of products coming into the region and also out to all of the local and cross-border distribution partners. This role will oversee all Warehousing, Distribution and Customer Service functions in the most cost-effective way to support organisation and our customer expectations.


Key Accountabilities:
• Formulate plan for warehouse management and maintenance
• Ensure efficiency in warehouse functions and reduce operating cost to manage P&L.
• Ensure effective warehouse productivity measures & minimum shipments turnaround time
• Minimize warehouse costs through effective management and control of storage cost, labour cost, etc.
• Prepare and review monthly reports with the corporate team on concept logistics efficiency and productivity
• Check the order backlog on a daily base & identify potential irregularities and or risks (oldest orders to be shipped, partial shipments opportunities, allocations issues, payment issues) and send alert messages to the respective Customer Services & coordinate with other function leaders to mitigate risk
• Implementing stock count policies and procedures, as well as ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.
• Ensure that stocks are organized in the most efficient and safe manner.
• Ensure reduced warehousing and distribution cost
• Train warehousing staff on safety and security procedures.
• Ensure maximum productivity of resources and warehouse storage capacity.
• Reduce trailer running and labor hiring costs as well as recommend optimization methods
