Roles & Responsibilities

Please note that this role will be under a third-party contractor and is not a direct hire with EGA. JOB PURPOSE: * To perform welding operations on various weld joints in all required positions, ensuring high-quality, defect-free welds that meet project specifications and standards. * To work with Pot Lining Technicians / Operators during cell lining department routine activities particularly pot shell structural repair & superstructure overhauling, live bus bar welding in pot lines and replacement of eroded / damaged cathode flexible during pot turnaround activities under close supervision. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Perform welding tasks using ARC & MIG welding processes (SMAW, FCAW & GMAW) in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead). * Capable to perform welding in high temperature areas and in strong magnetic field of pot lines. * Ensure welds meet quality standards and are free from defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion. * Perform Gas cutting task, carbon arc gauging and thermal lancing activities.
