Job Description
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY ARISES IN KUWAIT FOR THE NEXT ACADEMIC YEAR 2018 - DANCE TEACHER.
The ideal candidate would be qualified to Registered Teacher Status (RTS) - British Ballet Organisation (BBO) and National Association of Teachers of Dance (NATD) standard. In order to gain residency in the State of Kuwait, the candidate must hold a degree.
If you are looking for an exciting, rewarding and challenging career enhancing opportunity then look no further. Add to this one of the most lucrative tax free salary and employment packages in the Middle East then you are on to a winner!
An energised crew of new and experienced teachers are needed for the next academic year. British teachers with experience of the UK National Curriculum of England and Wales are the preferred choice of recruitment although other nationalities will be considered as long as their qualifications have been recognized by the UK Department of Education. Secondary teachers need to be able to deliver their subject to A-level. They school need solid teachers who can show evidence of success with teaching gifted and talented children. Single teachers and married teaching couples are popular choices, but those with families will also be considered although there are financial implications to consider. Teachers who want to consider this school must appreciate that this is not a typical western expatriate school; there are many nationalities and of course most of them do not have English as a first language. Teachers must demonstrate cultural tolerance and a respect for other religions and cultures. The school needs teachers who are committed to a longer term contract and are up to date with educational practice and IT technology. NQTs are also welcome to apply; the school is authorised as a member of the BSO to support and mentor the UK NQT probation year.
In return the school offer a very attractive tax free salary in the range of KD1102 (NQT) - KD1504 (10 year+) per month depending on qualifications and experience. A 2 year experienced teacher can expect to earn KD1171 tax free per month. Included in the package are annual flights, medical insurance, paid utility bills and free school bus transportation. Contracts are for one year. Accommodation is free and a single furnished two bedroom apartment located in a block of flats either close to the school or 15 minutes away from the school by car in a coastal location.
This is a well established private co-educational school offering a comprehensive package of British education and extra-curricular activities to a current student population of 2600 students from KG to Year 13. Although the UK National Curriculum of England and Wales is taught there is a broad ethnic and cultural mix represented, encompassing a total of 74 nationalities. In fact 40% of the student population comprises of local Kuwaiti children; only 9% is represented by British ex-pat students. The school is focused on high academic standards and is selective. The school offers a huge range of extra-curricular activities for children and adults, from the school and the local community. The school enjoys a robust reputation in the local community and throughout the Middle East.
