Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for carrying out refurbishment/repairs of all drill floor equipment and hydraulic components like pumps, motors, valves, etc.
  • Complete strip-down / inspection / assembly / testing of the above hydraulic components in the workshop.
  • Assess damaged hydraulic components and assist in determining root cause of failure.
  • Complete detailed technical reports following inspection of disassembled components and prepare repair/solution scope of work and costing.
  • Executing repair scope in accordance with company’s and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Follow necessary safety regulations, applicable work instructions, operating procedures, method statement etc. as required, in carrying out the jobs.
  • Report and document the activities carried out in line with the documentation requirements of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, Company Quality (ISO) procedures and provide reports to the QHSE department of any non-conformance issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining the workshop equipment and always associated hydraulic tooling in good order.
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through effective customer service, technical assistance, and prompt after sales service.
  • To perform inspection / testing, measuring, & monitoring activities related to production and service as required by customer & or as per sales & contract review procedure.
  • To act in accordance with the directions of department manager in meeting quality department objectives and targets.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a hydraulic company
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience and proven track record in a Service Role.
  • The knowledge and working experience with most known brands of hydraulics products (Parker, Bosch Rexroth, Hagglunds, Eaton, Kawasaki, Staffa, Sauer Danfoss, Linde, Hawe, Oilgear, etc)
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and hydraulic schematics.
  • Knowledge of International Hydraulic Standards.
  • Knowledge of open loop and closed loop hydrostatic transmissions on mobile, offshore, and marine hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of pressure testing and flushing of hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in developing and presenting solution designs as part of pre-sales activities.
  • Extensive customer liaison exposure.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
