Roles & Responsibilities

Role Scope:

The Foreman for the Caterpillar section will oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring the efficient maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy machinery equipment. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining operational productivity in alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians in the Caterpillar section to ensure timely and quality maintenance and repairs.

  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize workshop activities to meet operational deadlines.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

  • Conduct inspections, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide technical guidance to the team.

  • Liaise with management to report progress, challenges, and recommendations for workflow improvements.

  • Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Technology, or related field.

  • Experience: 6–8 years in heavy machinery maintenance and repair, with at least 2 years in a foreman role, preferably in Caterpillar machinery.

  • In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar heavy equipment operations and maintenance.

  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in workshop safety standards and mechanical best practices.

  • Leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Certifications (Optional ): Heavy machinery operation certification, safety and quality certifications relevant to workshop operations.
