Roles & Responsibilities

1. Workshop Operations Management Oversee daily workshop activities and allocate tasks to technicians. Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance work is completed as per standards. Monitor job cards, repair timelines, and quality of work. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, tools, and equipment. 2. Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Technical Oversight Diagnose major faults in heavy vehicles such as trailers, trucks. Provide technical guidance to mechanics and technicians. Ensure proper use of diagnostic tools and adherence to OEM repair procedures. Inspect repaired vehicles to confirm repair accuracy and roadworthiness. 3. Safety & Compliance Ensure all workshop activities comply with HSE guidelines. Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe work practices. Ensure vehicles meet regulatory and RTA standards before release. 4. Coordination & Communication Liaise with the operations team on vehicle readiness and repair status. Coordinate with vendors for outsourced repairs and parts procurement. Maintain clear communication with management regarding workshop performance. 5. Documentation & Reporting Ensure all maintenance records are updated in JDE or relevant systems. Track TAT (Turnaround Time), breakdown reports, and repeat job analysis. Prepare reports on manpower utilization, spare parts usage, and workshop productivity. 6. Team Leadership & Training Supervise and mentor workshop staff to enhance technical skills. Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs. Maintain workshop discipline, teamwork, and professional standards. Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Proficiency in maintenance management systems. Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Proficiency in maintenance management systems. Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
