Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control protocols, effectively reducing incidents and enhancing productivity.
- Coordinate and schedule tasks among technicians, ensuring optimal resource allocation and timely completion of projects to meet client deadlines.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools, initiating maintenance or repairs as necessary to prevent downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices, fostering skill development to enhance overall team performance and morale.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring essential materials are stocked and readily available for ongoing projects.
- Implement process improvements and innovative solutions to streamline workflows, driving efficiency and reducing costs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, managing expectations and addressing any concerns promptly to maintain strong relationships.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, generating reports to inform management decisions and strategic planning.
- Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular training sessions to promote a culture of safety within the workshop.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and collaborative solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Desired Candidate Profile
Leadership Team leadership, staff supervision, training & development, conflict resolution, mentoring, and motivating a team.
Technical Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, quality assurance, and relevant industry software proficiency (e.g., CMMS, specialized repair software).
Operational Planning & scheduling, organization, time management, problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvement (e.g., Lean principles).
Interpersonal - Excellent communication (verbal and written), customer service, interpersonal skills, and the ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience.
