Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to team members based on their skills and project requirements for optimal productivity.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement of tools and materials to avoid project delays.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure all work meets industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge on the latest techniques and technologies.
- Facilitate communication between management and workshop staff to address concerns and promote a collaborative culture.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, resource utilization, and incidents to support continuous improvement.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, providing guidance and solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting audits and addressing any potential hazards proactively.
- Evaluate team performance through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred for a strong technical foundation.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment, showcasing leadership capabilities.
- Relevant certifications in safety management, project management, or a specific technical discipline are highly regarded.
- Experience in supervising teams and managing projects, demonstrating an ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with industry-specific tools and machinery, with a preference for candidates who have operated similar equipment.
- Strong communication skills in English, with additional language proficiency seen as an asset for diverse teams.
- Proven experience in implementing process improvements, indicating a commitment to efficiency and innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor staff, fostering a positive learning environment within the workshop.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions quickly.
- Strong physical stamina and dexterity, able to engage in hands-on work and demonstrate safety practices.
