Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols for all engineering activities.
- Manage a team of technicians and engineers, providing technical guidance, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing operational lifespan.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, ensuring timely and effective repair solutions.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Prepare and review technical reports, including performance metrics, incident reports, and equipment status updates.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies within the workshop environment.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and production, to ensure seamless workflow and project execution.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior staff, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer within the team.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in a workshop environment, with a focus on equipment maintenance and repair.
- Possesses excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
