• Responsible for the technical supervision of the workshop staff
• Responsible for rapid and appropriate maintenance and repair of customers' cars with consideration for the guidelines issued by the manufacturer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures workshop productivity.
• Responsible for ensuring that repair jobs are carried out completely and correctly by mechanics in accordance with BMW guidelines and regulations
• Responsible for workshop capacity utilization
• Ensures flawless work quality by means of suitable workshop equipment, test instruments and methods
• Responsible for operational and traffic safety of customers' cars within the framework of the repair work to be performed
Leads and guides workshop employees.

Is responsible for all personnel decisions regarding his/her employees (plans staffing requirements, hires and reduces his staff)
Ensures and monitors compliance with health and safety regulations

Conducts annual appraisal process with his sales employees which includes the definition of an individual development plan for each employee

The disciplinary management remains in the hands of the Aftersales Manager

Controls workshop staff on the basis of defined key figures (e.g. flat rate unit)

Gives technical support to mechanics in preparing diagnostics and performing difficult repairs
• Conducts regular meetings to discuss target agreements/feedback and achievement of objectives
Acts as contact person for third parties.
• Concludes the disposal contracts with appropriate companies, and checks compliance
• Checks all repair and maintenance jobs placed with third parties and ensures that the quality and deadline keeping is correct
Steers and controls operational management.

Matches current workshop capacity continuously with order deadlines and consults the Service Advisor and Service Assistant

Checks that hazardous substances, waste and disposable materials are handled and stored correctly in accordance with waste disposal regulations

Monitors and organizes cleanliness and tidiness in the service area

Observes in compliance with applicable repair conditions

Carries out technical final checks after order processing

Performs regular internal quality measures

Organises order planning based on mechanics' qualifications, if necessary consults the Service Advisor
• Evaluates all repaired cars (technical) and assists in ordering parts

Desired Candidate Profile

• Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty
• 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area,
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
