Basic Function:
The Project Manager is the internal and external focal point for specific projects and is responsible for all aspects of a project including leading, motivating, managing and communicating. He/she provides effective leadership, management of the integrated project during the entire project lifecycle, interfacing with all project stakeholders to meet the project objectives (within time, budget and scope) and exceed our clients' business requirements.
Creates value through project management best practices tools and techniques for effective/ efficient full lifecycle delivery. Maximize the project's financial return to Weatherford, through vigilant management of risk and management of change processes, incremental upsell/cross sell revenues and/or performance bonus payments. Effective financial management of all project costs including procurement, logistics, resources.
Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
To be internal and external focal point for specific project(s) by liaising with both the client and internal Weatherford team to provide project management best practices services as per clients requirements. This will involve demonstrating innovative solutions and technology in order to maximize Weatherford's potential in the market place by utilizing all available products and resources
Demonstrate and encourage in other team members innovative and lateral thinking to progress all potential opportunities to solutions and service delivery across all Weatherford Product Lines and third party services
Provide regular reporting to the Client & internally within Weatherford of project progress and status updates. Prepare detailed best practices project documents and engineering procedures for all operations, ensure they are adhered to and manage any changes that are required
Regular client contact to communicate and present on specific project deliverables. Prepare detailed project control procedures to ensure document control, admin, procedural changes/preparation adhere to specified customer standards. Prepare financial statements for forecasts/actual for project revenue costs also preparation of AFE's and justification for expenditure
Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to BSA to management on a regular basis. Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures and ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date and appropriately costed/expensed to the project P&L and oversee timely progress billing to the client
To provide supervision and direction to all project team members to execute specific tasks by managing the staff. Assist in all aspects of Human Resources Plan for the project and staff selection, including recruitment and interview of potential candidates with appropriate skills for the project activities
Mentor and train project team members under direct supervision
Lead the project in all stages of the project lifecycle, actively participating in the definition of project scope in agreement with the client; review the work plan creation with the project team members, which includes identification of the activities in sequence and proper resource allocation that is needed to successfully complete the project; Assist the project team members responsible for the project scheduling thru project
Review the project schedule regularly with management, other stake-holder and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities
Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality-standards
Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase, with proper lessons learned capture for the project closeout
Determine the objectives and measures/metrics upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
Ensure that all relevant project personnel are familiar with the project milestones and billable items (Contract to work implementation transition as part of CTM)
Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate
Assist in Tender preparation and customer sales visits / presentations. Contribute to and adopt the principles of Weatherford Operational Excellence and Performance System (OEPS)
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment, as well as applying Weatherford and where appropriate Client Company's Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems. Apply local and industry Safety regulations
Required Skills:
Ability to schedule, track, and report complex work plans for projects that involve multiple stakeholders including external service providers
