Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Chief Engineer in the safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and systems

  2. Supervise and carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment (engines, generators, pumps, compressors)

  3. Ensure continuous power supply to support cable laying and accommodation operations

  4. Monitor engine performance, fuel consumption, and lubrication systems

  5. Maintain proper engine room logs, reports, and planned maintenance records

  6. Ensure compliance with HSE standards, MARPOL, and client (Aramco) requirements

  7. Supervise engine crew and ensure safe working practices onboard

  8. Participate in emergency response drills (firefighting, shutdowns, etc.)

  9. Support DP systems / auxiliary systems if applicable to the barge operations

Desired Candidate Profile

Required COC in 2nd Eng III/2 (National or White list)
Minimum 2- 3 years Rank experience with similar type of Vessel
With valid ARAMCO approval
