Established in 1999, Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (commonly known as Takreer) is an Abu Dhabi based oil company involved in oil refining operations. The major areas include crude oil and condensate refining, supply of petroleum products and manufacturing of granulated Sulphur. The company works with the motive of making the UAE refining industry witness a proliferated growth, which started with the inception of Abu Dhabi Refinery (1976) and Ruwais Refinery (1982). Besides meeting the rising demand for enhanced products and services, Takreer is also working towards developing the local economy and boosting the national revenue. Keen on implementing national policies aimed at providing employment to the local workforce, it is making all efforts to fulfil the aspirations for environment protection and assurance of quality.

 

The company has effectively recognized the need to explore, produce, transport and manufacture energy products in an eco-friendly manner, with highest regards for safety and health of its employees. The Ruwais and Abu Dhabi Refineries constitute its core business, also referred to as Takreer’s business lines, with over 23 million tons of products for local and export markets being produced every year.
