Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the department s strategy to achieve content and market growth targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage all the department teams.
  • Monitor industry trends and academic publishing standards to maintain competitiveness.
  • Oversee the end-to-end book development process (manuscript acquisition, editing, design, and production).
  • Ensure academic accuracy, editorial quality, and compliance with curriculum/educational standards.
  • Develop and manage content creation schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and distribution teams to support product launch and availability.
  • Prepare and manage department budgets.
  • Monitor KPIs such as production timelines, sales performance, and content quality.
  • Optimize resources and reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, educators, and academic partners.
  • Represent the company at academic events, conferences, and industry exhibitions

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 10 years of experience in publishing, academic content development, or related areas, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Master s degree in education field.
