Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the department s strategy to achieve content and market growth targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage all the department teams.
- Monitor industry trends and academic publishing standards to maintain competitiveness.
- Oversee the end-to-end book development process (manuscript acquisition, editing, design, and production).
- Ensure academic accuracy, editorial quality, and compliance with curriculum/educational standards.
- Develop and manage content creation schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and distribution teams to support product launch and availability.
- Prepare and manage department budgets.
- Monitor KPIs such as production timelines, sales performance, and content quality.
- Optimize resources and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, educators, and academic partners.
- Represent the company at academic events, conferences, and industry exhibitions
Desired Candidate Profile
- 10 years of experience in publishing, academic content development, or related areas, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Master s degree in education field.
