Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department's operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors internal departments. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.


Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support in daily operations.

· Oversee the timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

· Review and approve payment batches and reconciliations in accordance with established protocols.

· Develop and implement efficient accounts payable processes to enhance productivity and reduce processing time.

· Resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices or payments in a timely manner.

· Maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.

· Prepare and present regular reports on accounts payable metrics to senior management.

· Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve overall financial processes.

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls.

· Train and mentor team members, fostering professional development and growth.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable within a subsidiary of a multinational corporation, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP systems and proficiency in managing accounts payable functions.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well to meet tight deadlines.
