Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries specific to the furniture and engineering sectors.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and client invoices to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support business objectives.
- Conduct cost accounting and inventory management for furniture and engineering projects, analyzing variances and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to track project costs, billing, and profitability.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, prepare tax returns, and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the furniture, engineering, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
