Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management.
- Conduct regular audits of financial statements and internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and budgeting processes, providing insights to optimize financial resources and support strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial performance, offering actionable recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate financial risks.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Prepare financial analyses for investment opportunities and business expansions, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, facilitating smooth audit processes and addressing any findings promptly.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred for advanced roles.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are highly valued and often required for senior positions.
- Experience in multinational corporations is advantageous, fostering an understanding of diverse accounting practices.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a similar industry to ensure relevant knowledge.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it in a clear, actionable manner.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus for multinational engagement.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and manage a team toward achieving financial objectives.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and compliance tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on deadlines.
