Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant at EL AZZAB GROUP in Egypt. The Accountant will be responsible for financial record-keeping, preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all daily accounting operations and financial transactions.
  • Accurately record all financial entries into the company s accounting system in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensure ledger balances are accurate.
  • Verify that all invoices and related documents comply with tax regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual summaries.
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date financial databases, ensuring data accuracy and immediate accessibility when required.
  • Prepare monthly VAT returns and ensure timely submission to the relevant authorities.
  • Manage and monitor all bank transactions, including incoming receipts, outgoing payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and other external parties when required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Perform additional financial and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 5 years proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
