Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Title: General Accountant

  • Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Prepare financial statements (Income Statement, Financial Position Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Equity Statement) accurately and on schedule.
  • Work on various ERP systems and maximize their capabilities for completing accounting operations.
  • Prepare and submit tax declarations (Value Added Tax, Income Tax, Payroll Tax) periodically via the Egyptian Tax Authority's online system.
  • Follow up and manage customer accounts (debtors), including issuing invoices and tracking collections.
  • Follow up and manage supplier and subcontractor accounts (creditors), including reviewing invoices and payment applications, and organizing the settlement of dues.
  • Manage daily treasury (cash) movements and ensure cash balances are reconciled.
  • Monitor and control accounts (employee advances, petty cash, etc.).
  • Participate in inventory stocktaking and manage inventory accounts.
  • Monitor purchase accounts, supply orders, and purchase requests.
  • Coordinate with banks and reconcile bank statements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets and management financial reports.
  • Adhere to financial policies, procedures, and accepted accounting standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Experience in ERP systems specialy
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new accounting standards and technologies.
