Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting: journal entries, payables, receivables, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly closing: trial balance, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
- Handle tuition billing, collections, refunds, scholarships/discounts; reconcile with Admissions.
- Coordinate payroll with Human Resources: process monthly salaries, overtime, deductions, incentives, social insurance, and taxes; ensure timely, accurate disbursement and records.
- Manage petty cash and expense claims; ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Assist with budgets, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards, taxes, and social insurance; support audits and statutory filings.
- Maintain accurate, organized accounting records and produce weekly financial reports.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 3 years of accounting experience; education sector experience is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and tax (value-added tax, payroll tax, withholding tax).
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software; strong reconciliation and attention to detail.
- Good English and Arabic communication; high integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work on-site, with occasional extended hours at month-end.
