Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and account reconciliations.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of best accounting practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree of commerce or any similar degrees
  • Experience of minimum 3 years is required
  • Reasonable knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software
  • Analytical and numeracy skills: A strong ability to analyze data and perform calculations is essential.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulousness is crucial for accuracy in financial records.
  • Organization: Being organized and efficient is key to managing financial tasks.
  • Adaptability: Accountants must be able to adapt to stressful situations and changes in the field.
  • Residents of 6th of October city or neighboring areas are preferred.
