Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage accounting and inventory transactions for our luxury fashion retail and e-commerce operations. This role requires expertise in financial reporting, inventory cost control, and import-related accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail accounting, e-commerce financial operations, and international imports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Management:

Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.

Prepare financial statements, month-end closing reports, and tax filings in compliance with local regulations.

Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budgeting to optimize financial performance.

Ensure compliance with VAT, customs duties, and import taxes related to luxury goods.

Inventory & Cost Management:

Oversee inventory accounting, tracking stock movements, and reconciling physical inventory with financial records.

Calculate cost of goods sold (COGS) and monitor gross margins for both retail and e-commerce channels.

Implement and maintain inventory control systems to prevent discrepancies and stock losses.

Work closely with storekeepers and warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy.

Import & Logistics Accounting:

Handle import transactions, including duties, shipping costs, and supplier payments.

Reconcile import documents (bills of lading, invoices, customs clearance) with financial records.

Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure compliance with import regulations.

Monitor currency exchange rates and manage foreign transactions effectively.

E-commerce Financial Operations:

Reconcile online payment transactions from multiple payment gateways (credit cards, PayPal, etc.).

Track refunds, chargebacks, and customer returns, ensuring proper accounting entries.

Work with the e-commerce team to ensure financial accuracy of online sales reports.

Reporting & Compliance:

Generate financial and inventory reports for management decision-making.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and audit requirements.

Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions as needed.


Key Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on inventory management and import transactions.

Experience in luxury fashion retail and e-commerce accounting is highly preferred.

Proficiency in accounting software (Wizard or similar) and inventory management systems.

Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs duties, and VAT compliance.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
