Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post and allocate customer receipts, prepare invoices, and credit notes.
- Reconcile customer accounts, support credit control, and monitor AR aging.
- Process supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and ensure timely payments.
- Perform vendor reconciliations and monitor AP aging.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, record acquisitions/disposals, and calculate depreciation.
- Conduct asset verification and assist in physical inventory.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, payroll, intercompany).
- Assist with month-end/year-end closing and financial statement preparation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of ORACLE ERP (EBS/Fusion) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
