Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare budget forecasts and monitor financial performance against them.
• Publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local (Oman) regulations.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
• Compute taxes (Corporate Tax, VAT if applicable) and prepare tax returns, ensuring timely submissions.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Manage inventory accounting and fixed asset registers.
• Strengthen internal controls and audit processes to safeguard financial data.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
• Provide management with detailed financial reports and analysis to support business decisions.

Required Skills & Software Proficiency:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the Oman/GCC market.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Omani financial regulations.
• Expert-level proficiency in accounting software:
  • Tally.ERP (Essential)
  • QuickBooks (Essential)
  • Knowledge of other ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a significant plus.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Formulas, etc.) for financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities to meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality regarding financial information.
• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field. (Professional certification like ACCA, CPA, CMA is a major advantage).
