Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The accountant is responsible for organizing financial and accounting activities, analyzing data, and rectifying errors. The role involves managing account records, ensuring transaction accuracy, maintaining financial confidentiality, and assisting in budget planning and evaluating the efficiency of the accounting system.
Financial Operations: Implement approved financial systems, audit invoices, and issue payment vouchers after approval.
Banking & Auditing: Monitor banking transactions, verify checks against the delegation of authority matrix, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Reporting: Prepare periodic financial statements, trial balances, and asset reports for the Head of Finance.
Compliance: Match monthly club expenses with trial balances and ensure all documentation follows financial protocols.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is highly desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance roles within the UAE or GCC region.
- UAE National with a strong understanding of local financial regulations and practices.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, with excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
