Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Maintain daily bookkeeping records accurately and up to date.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
• Record and reconcile daily sales and revenue entries.
• Post daily bank entries and prepare reconciliations with bank statements.
• Prepare food cost sheets and manage inventory control systems.
• Manage VAT and Corporate Tax filings in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Assist external auditors by providing required documentation and schedules.
• Oversee daily cash closing and ensure cash handling compliance.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, stock closing, and variance analysis.
• Monitor supplier payments and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Record rental income and reconcile it with booking platforms and systems.
• Update and monitor the room/property management system daily.
• Reconcile room/property management system data with accounting records.
• Ensure timely landlord rental payouts and share payout statements.
• Track customer refunds, cancellations, and booking adjustments.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for both businesses.
• Conduct variance analysis between budgets, forecasts, and actual performance.
• Manage petty cash and ensure accurate accountability across outlets/units.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT, and corporate tax laws.
• Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Master’s/bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality and F&B.
• Knowledge of VAT, Corporate Tax, and UAE financial regulations.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Room Management software).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage operations across two business lines.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proactive approach with ability to take initiative.
• Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Customer-service orientation when dealing with vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
