Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Daily Tasks
- Reconcile daily sales from POS systems
- Process supplier invoices and payments
- Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations
- Update inventory records and calculate food costs
- Prepare daily financial reports
Monthly Tasks
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Calculate cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Analyze food cost percentages and margins
- Process payroll and employee expenses
- Reconcile all accounts and prepare variance reports
Retail & F&B Specific
- Manage inventory valuations and stock counts
- Handle multi-location accounting and consolidation
- Monitor supplier payment terms and vendor relationships
- Track seasonal sales trends and cost fluctuations
- Support budget preparation and cost control
Technical Skills
- Accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, or similar)
- POS systems (any major system)
- Basic Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
- Inventory tracking systems
Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of food cost control
- Retail inventory cycles and seasonality
- Supplier payment processes
- Basic tax compliance and filing
Desired Candidate Profile
3+ years accounting experience in retail or F&B industry
Experience with POS systems and daily sales reconciliation
Knowledge of inventory management and COGS calculations
Experience processing supplier invoices and payments
Multi-location retail or restaurant accounting experience
Detail-oriented and accurate
Able to work in fast-paced environment
Good communication skills
Team player who can work independently
Flexible and adaptable to business needs
