Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard school assets.
- Coordinate and support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with school leadership.
- Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies during audits and financial reviews.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in internal auditing.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in external auditing.
- Minimum 10 year of proven experience as Senior Accountant.
- Experience in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
