Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee financial operations: Manage all daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

  • Produce financial reports: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management.
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Guarantee adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), tax laws, and other relevant regulations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close: Lead and coordinate the closing processes to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Coordinate audits: Act as the primary contact for external auditors and oversee the preparation of required schedules and documentation for the annual audit.
  • Provide financial analysis: Interpret financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Offer strategic recommendations to management to improve financial performance.
  • Improve internal controls: Evaluate and enhance internal accounting processes and controls to safeguard company assets and increase efficiency.
  • Assist with budget and forecast preparation: Collaborate with other departments to prepare the annual budget and coordinate the forecasting process.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, including experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Soft skills: Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail: A meticulous and detail-oriented approach is critical for ensuring accuracy.
