Position Summary:
Al Moalem Institute, a reputable training institute in the Kingdom of Bahrain, is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Accounting Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with expertise in financial management, reporting, and analysis. The trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions to employees or students, ensuring they gain the necessary accounting skills to excel in their roles. The successful candidate should be able to explain complex accounting concepts clearly and engagingly, and facilitate learning in a variety of settings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Delivery: Develop and deliver effective accounting training programs tailored to the needs of learners. Topics may include financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, auditing, and financial analysis.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with senior accountants to create and update course materials, including presentations, worksheets, and practice exercises based on the latest industry standards.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Design assessments and quizzes to evaluate the understanding and progress of trainees. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Mentorship and Support: Offer one-on-one coaching and support to employees or students who may require additional assistance in grasping complex accounting concepts.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, progress assessments, and completion rates.
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Ensure the training environment is inclusive, interactive, and conducive to learning. Encourage participant engagement and collaboration.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Educational Background:
    - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional qualifications in accounting or teaching is a plus.
  • Holds a professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) which showcases expertise and commitment to the profession.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting, providing practical industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrates experience in the financial services or consulting industry, showcasing a deep understanding of industry-specific needs.
  • Exhibits a minimum of 3 years of experience in training or teaching accounting concepts, showcasing proven ability to impart knowledge.
  • Proficient in English, Arabic or other relevant languages, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Exhibits strong technical skills in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks), enhancing training effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, fostering an engaging learning environment.

  • Certifications:

- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification.

- Preferably with ACCA Certificates.

- CMA Certificate is preferred.


  • Experience:

- At least 3 years of practical experience in accounting, financial management, or a related field.

- Proven experience in training or teaching accounting principles, ideally in a corporate or academic setting.

- Experience with accounting software and tools (e.g. Excel, SAP, etc.) is desirable.


  • Skills and Competencies:

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to simplify complex accounting concepts for diverse audiences.

- Proficiency in creating training materials and using educational tools (e.g., PowerPoint, LMS platforms).

- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
