Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Accounts Assistant – Accounts Payable shall be responsible, but not limited to, the following: Ensures booking of invoices in the accounting system for UAE Invoices. Reviews to ensure matching of invoice to the Purchase Order (PO) and further investigation if not. Arranges distribution of invoices to respective managers/directors for payment approval. Follows up with suppliers regarding late/missing invoices. Ensures all invoices for recharge are copied to other companies and employees and distributed to relevant parties. Vendor reconciliation for UAE. Scheduling the Payment Dates for Suppliers. Processing approved payments for vendor. Payment Voucher Posting. Registering approved Vendor Information to system (SAGE). Processing the bank details update in system (SAGE) as per approved Bank Updated Form. Do the Journal and Intercompany Journal Entry if necessary. Any other ad hoc duties as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must have analytical experience, be accurate with figures, well organized and exercise sound judgment in decision making. Has in-depth understanding of banking issues and procedures and makes appropriate decisions based on this knowledge. Must have good numerical skills. Exposure to marine standards is desirable. Software expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. Knowledge in other MS Office package is an advantage. Ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively. With good command of the English language (written/ spoken).
