Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update accounting records and files, including journals, ledgers, and other financial documentation.

  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and reconcile statements.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and financial reconciliations.

  • Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis.

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, including variance analysis and budget monitoring.

  • Assist with payroll processing, including the preparation of salary sheets, payment of wages, and calculation of allowances and deductions.

  • Manage petty cash and ensure accurate documentation of expenses.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and reports.

  • Respond promptly to financial inquiries from management and external parties.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2-4 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year of experience in the UAE.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP.

  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance requirements.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.

  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English .

  • Sri Lankan National female Preferred
