Roles & Responsibilities

JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Reporting directly to the Finance Officer, you are responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties. You will support our business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, expenses as well as updating our accounting database. The job position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience. This is an office-based role and your major responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Keep a thorough record of business transactions and enter data from daily work logs into the company’s general ledger system, particularly the sales and purchase transactions.

* Management of petty cash transactions, i.e., prepare summary of petty cash disbursements. * Preparation and issuance of Cash Receipt Vouchers.

* Preparation and issuance of customer’s Proforma and Tax Invoices and update accounts receivable reports and match sales orders to invoices.

* Process invoices/bills so that they can be paid and update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.

* Assist in the follow-up of payment collections from customers.

* Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

* Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

* Assist senior accounting personnel with any tasks conducted within the accounting department, or any tasks that require accounting personnel to take part.

* Ensure of confidentiality of company’s financial records.

* Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study 2-5 years' of UAE experience working in Accounting Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly detail-oriented
