Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Record day-to-day financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments).
Maintain accurate ledgers, trial balance, and financial statements.
Reconcile bank statements and handle cash flow management.
Monitor stock of gold, bullion, and jewelry in line with company records.
Handle weight-based and value-based accounting for gold transactions.
Assist in periodic stock audits and reconciliations.
Process supplier invoices, vendor payments, and ensure timely settlements.
Follow up with clients/customers on outstanding payments.
Maintain accurate debtor and creditor ledgers.
Ensure adherence to UAE VAT, excise, and other local regulations. Assist with compliance related matters.
Prepare required documentation for import/export of gold, customs, and bank transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
Support the finance manager/auditor in finalization of accounts.
Provide timely MIS reports on sales, purchases, margins, and inventory movement.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in gold, jewelry, trading, or commodities industry).
Solid knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/UAE standards).
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems used in jewelry/gold sector).
Strong MS Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
Knowledge of VAT regulations in the UAE and AML compliance is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
