Roles & Responsibilities

The Role
As ALN Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every child at Queen's receives the guidance and support they need to thrive. You ll collaborate with class teachers, parents, and the wider team to design and deliver effective interventions that foster confidence, progress, and a love of learning.
You will:
  • Identify, assess, and support students with additional learning and language needs
  • Create and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure high-quality, inclusive classroom practice.
  • Maintain and update the learning support register and referral systems.
  • Deliver tailored lessons and in-class support to help students achieve their personal best.
  • Communicate effectively with families, ensuring a strong home-school partnership.
  • Embody the values and vision of Queen s and Artemis Education in everything you do.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are seeking an outstanding learning support practitioner who:
  • Holds a Bachelor s degree in Education or Special Education with PGCE/QTS or equivalent.
  • Has at least 3 years' proven experience of working with students requiring additional learning or English language support in international schools
  • Is skilled in identifying learning barriers and creating practical, personalised strategies.
  • Has strong knowledge about the English National Curriculum and best practices in inclusion.
  • Shows enthusiasm for integrating technology to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Is empathetic and passionate about making a real difference.
