Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

To teach one course Introduction to Probability and Statistics in the BScM program in the Fall 2026 term

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in Introduction to Probability and Statistics.
  • Develop course materials including syllabi, lectures, assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Explain key concepts such as probability distributions, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, and data interpretation.
  • Guide students in applying statistical tools to real-world problems.
  • Assess student performance fairly and consistently and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain academic integrity and ensure alignment with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
  • Support student learning through consultation, office hours, or online platforms.
Skills
  • Minimum Master s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline (required).
  • University-level teaching experience in statistics or quantitative methods (preferred).
  • Strong ability to simplify complex concepts for non-specialist learners.
  • Proficiency with statistical software and tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must currently reside in the UAE and hold own valid residency visa.

Desired Candidate Profile
