Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
manages the daily operations of a vehicle fleet, focusing on maintenance scheduling, compliance, and cost tracking. Key duties include managing vehicle registration, coordinating repairs, tracking fuel usage, updating maintenance records, and assisting with driver management to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintenance Coordination: Schedule preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections for all vehicles to minimize downtime.
- Compliance & Licensing: Ensure all vehicles are legally compliant by managing registration renewals, insurance, and licensing.
- Data & Record Management: Maintain accurate digital records of vehicle history, mileage, fuel consumption, and driver assignments using fleet management software.
- Fuel & Expense Management: Monitor fuel card usage, reconcile invoices, and assist with budget tracking for repairs and fuel.
- Vendor Interaction: Liaise with mechanics, leasing companies, and vendors to ensure cost-effective services.
- Driver & Vehicle Support: Act as the primary contact for vehicle issues, accidents, and driver queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Usually requires 1-3 years of experience in fleet management, administration, or logistics.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, telematics systems, and Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for vendor and driver interactions.
- Organization: Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple tasks and strict deadlines
