Roles & Responsibilities

In Misr International Hospital, an Admissions Specialist is the initial point of contact for patients and their families. They manage the administrative process of patient intake, ensuring a smooth and compassionate experience while maintaining accurate records and compliance with regulations.

Patient Intake & Greeting: Greet and assist patients and their families upon arrival, providing a welcoming presence during what can be a stressful time.
Information Collection: Conduct patient interviews to gather and record personal, demographic, and medical history information into the hospital's database or EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.
Insurance & Financial Verification: Screen and verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, obtain necessary pre-authorizations, explain billing procedures, and collect co-pays or deposits.
Paperwork & Documentation: Ensure all required admission paperwork, legal consents, and insurance forms are completed accurately, signed, and filed confidentially.
Coordination & Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, nursing units, case managers, and other departments to coordinate room assignments, bed availability, and patient transport.
Policy Explanation: Explain hospital policies and procedures, such as visiting hours, patient rights, and the handling of patient valuables.
Emergency Admissions: Obtain necessary information from family members for emergency room and maternity patients.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: A Bachelor's degree is a must
Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome / Previous experience in healthcare is preferd
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse populations with empathy and professionalism.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential for accurately managing high volumes of information.
