Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

are seeking experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine physicians to join their Adult Emergency Departments. The role involves delivering high-quality, timely emergency care within a high-volume public healthcare system, supported by modern facilities and multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will provide consultant-level emergency medical services while contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult emergency cases
  • Lead resuscitation and acute care for critically ill and injured patients
  • Manage high-acuity presentations, including medical and traumatic emergencies
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff and emergency department teams
  • Participate in shift-based emergency cover as per departmental rota
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in clinical governance, audit, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality improvement activities
  • Collaborate with inpatient teams, specialties, and allied healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, government regulations, and accreditation standards

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Recognized specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine
  • Consultant-level experience in adult emergency care
  • Eligibility for consultant licensing with the relevant UAE health authority (DOH or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in high-acuity emergency medicine
  • Excellent clinical decision-making, leadership, and communication skills
  • Experience in government or high-volume emergency departments is an advantage
