The Aeropolitical Affairs Analyst will be responsible for researching compiling and using various statistical tools to conduct comprehensive analyses related to Emirates and the overall competitive landscape. Present data and its interpretation in a clear manner to Managers in Aeropolitical Affairs in support of Emirates aeropolitical objectives.
In this role you will:
- Closely monitor and research developments in domestic regional and global aviation policies political developments and regulations to assess their impact on the airlines operations market access and strategic objectives.
- Utilize statistical software and tools to collect organise and analyse data related to number of flights passenger and cargo carriage market shares route performance and other relevant metrics to support Emirates market access requirements.
- Provide Managers in Aeropolitical Affairs with a clear and concise interpretation of the research findings and complex data analyses both in writing and verbally to enable informed decisions.
- Liaise with the Emirates IT department on an ongoing basis in order to ensure a timely resolution of any issues related to required data and to achieve a system upgrade or data enhancement when needed to support Emirates aeropolitical objectives Ensure that periodical data required by the department is received from IT on timely basis.
- Assist in developing meeting files, proposed aeropolitical requirements, advocacy submissions, presentations, reports and briefing notes for senior management's use at intergovernmental meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- When required, participate in intergovernmental bilateral air services negotiations, assisting senior management with pursuing Emirates' traffic rights goals and other aeropolitical interests.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Planning and Commercial Operations, with a view of obtaining important information/data ahead of bilateral air services negotiations and stakeholder engagements.
- Assist in government authorisations and schedule approvals for Emirates' operations to new destinations or, when so required, for additional flights to existing points and select code share flights.
- Assist in providing guidance on any relevant aeropolitical issues to Emirates' code share team and help obtain approvals for code share flights as required.
- Collaborate with and support colleagues in enhancing their statistical, analytical, and industry-specific knowledge, particularly in aeropolitics and broader aviation sector, as directed by Managers in Aeropolitical Affairs.
To be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree or Honours in business analytics and modelling, law, international relations or a related area 12+3 or equivalent.
- 5+ years in Commercial/Sales or similar.
- Experience in the airline industry preferably in the field of aeropolitical/ international/ governmental/ public affairs with a strong background in commercial analyses and research.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated competence in statistics, modelling and data analyses.
- Robust ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to air transport. Skilled in quantitative and qualitative research.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to produce correspondence, reports, presentations and advocacy documents of superb contents and language quality.
- Full attention to detail in preparing both data analyses and written documents.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
