Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Marine Agency Manager is responsible for establishing, managing, and scaling marine agency operations, ensuring efficient vessel servicing, regulatory compliance, and strong stakeholder coordination. The role combines operational leadership, commercial development, and multi-party coordination across ports, clients, and service providers.
Key Accountabilities- Assess vessel traffic, port activity, and target segments (e.g., offshore, tankers, cruise, dry bulk).
- Identify market opportunities and competitive positioning.
- Develop and implement market entry and growth strategies.
- Build relationships with ship owners, charterers, and offshore operators.
- Define and manage marine service offerings, including:
- Port agency services
- Husbandry services
- Crew services & logistics
- Offshore support services
- Develop differentiated service models and value propositions.
- Ensure service quality, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily marine operations including:
- Vessel clearance and documentation
- Port coordination and scheduling
- Logistics and supply chain execution
- Manage 24/7 operational readiness for vessel support.
- Coordinate with port authorities, terminal operators, and service providers.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
- Build and manage relationships with: Port authorities and regulators, Marine service providers, logistics partners and subcontractors
- Establish and manage agency networks and partnerships.
- Act as the single point of contact for key clients.
- Ensure full compliance with: Port regulations, Maritime laws and standards, Agency licensing requirements.
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks and SOPs
- Maintain documentation and audit readiness.
- Develop pricing strategies and cost structures.
- Monitor profitability and operational costs.
- Manage contracts, invoicing, and financial performance.
- Support business expansion and new revenue streams.
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term roadmaps.
- Lead expansion into new ports or service lines.
- Build internal capabilities (teams, systems, processes).
- Implement scalable systems for multi-port operations.
- Build a high-performance, service-oriented team.
Desired Candidate Profile
We Are Looking For: br>
- Bachelor s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Marine agency, Port operations and Offshore logistics.
- Strong knowledge of port procedures and vessel operations.
- Excellent stakeholder and client management.
- Deep understanding of marine compliance & regulations.
- Commercial mindset with P&L awareness.
