Gaea21: A Catalyst for Sustainability

Founded in 2007, gaea21 is a think tank dedicated to ecological, social, and behavioural transition. Based in Geneva and active worldwide, we develop pioneering programs in circular economy, education, applied research, coaching, and lifestyle transformation. Each year, more than 300 people are trained, supported, or integrated into our sustainable initiatives. At its core, gaea21 is also a post-training organization and a platform for professional integration and reintegration. Since 2007, our integration and reintegration rate has consistently remained between 94% and 97%, supporting more than 1,250 individuals in building their careers.

Sustainable Agriculture Project

Our Sustainable Agriculture Research Project aims to publish studies on the current state of sustainable agriculture and to identify the key factors needed to achieve it. It also serves as a scientific foundation for various projects and sub-projects within our Sustainable Agriculture program.

Your Mission:

Train farmers in the Koulikoro region on the production, use, and management of compost

Organize hands-on composting demonstrations in the field (using local organic materials, simple and replicable methods)

Support the integration of compost into family farming practices (restoring degraded soils, enhancing natural fertility)

Design and lead practical, interactive awareness sessions (delivered in the local language)

Promote crops suited to compost use (examples: local staple food crops)

Contribute to the co-development of the project with the Gaea21 team (providing methodological support remotely)

Desired Candidate Profile

Training or experience in agronomy, agricultural techniques, composting, or agroecology

Strong knowledge of local agricultural conditions in Koulikoro

Comfortable in sharing technical knowledge in a simple and accessible way

Autonomous, with strong field awareness and a collaborative mindset

Proficiency in French (required)

Knowledge of local languages is a strong asset

Position Details: Start date: Immediate Duration: 3 to 6 months (full-time or part-time)

Format: Partial remote work

Status: Internship or volunteer mission within a training, professionalization, or career transition/integration program
