Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A leading manufacturer and global distributor of agri-nutrition products, headquartered in Zahle, Lebanon, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to coordinate all purchasing operations with all related parties.


  Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing Operations:

  • Sends purchase requests to approved and potential suppliers.
  • Prepares comparative studies based on suppliers quotations.
  • Prepares purchase orders and ensures records are accurate and up to date.
  • Verifies purchase orders against suppliers pro-forma invoices.

Supplier Management & Sourcing

  • Updates and maintains the supplier information database on a regular basis.
  • Updates the list of suppliers and their qualification status when required.
  • Follows up on supplier contracts and compliance.
  • Suggests the pre-qualification of new suppliers.
  • Initiates sourcing activities for new or existing products and suppliers.

Claims & Non-Conformance Management

  • Coordinates with the Quality Control team in case of receival of raw materials or products do not meet approved specifications.
  • Follows up on claims with suppliers for non-conforming Raw Materials.
  • Ensures all required technical, quality, and supporting documents are collected for claims processing.
  • Follows up with suppliers to ensure appropriate compensation, replacement, or corrective action is received in line with contractual agreements.

Quality & Documentation

  • Requests and reviews quality certificates and technical documentation for new products or suppliers.

Negotiation & Coordination

  • Negotiates contracts with suppliers and submits them to the CEO for approval.

General

  • Performs any additional tasks as required by Top Management.

  Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in business management, supply chain or any equivalent field, Master s is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar field.
  • Internal training in: ISO 9001: Latest Revision, ISO 45001: Latest Revision, GMP+, and HACCP is recommended.
  • Proficiency in Arabic, English, and French
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, and related office tools)
  • Business ethics and professional PR standards
  • Confidentiality principles and information handling
  • Excellent communication, organization, decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, and stress/time management skills.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to work under pressure, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
