Apply principles of biology, chemistry, and ecology to improve crop quality, yield, and sustainability.

• Research soil health, pest control, crop rotation, and other sustainable farming methods; develop and implement innovative pest and disease management solutions/strategies.
• Conduct experiments using Ion Chromatography (IC)/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS)/Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), analyze results, and ensure compliance with quality control standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental guidelines.
• Monitor and evaluate experimental trials, collect data, prepare technical reports, and maintain accurate research documentation.
• Advise and provide technical guidance to stakeholders, farmers, and agricultural teams on planting, irrigation, fertilization, harvesting, and other crop production techniques.
• Recommend agricultural inputs (e.g., seeds, fertilizers, pest control products) based on scientific analysis and environmental considerations; troubleshoot crop performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Promote sustainable practices by linking laboratory research findings with Samail farm operations and supporting Nakheel Oman s participation in national and international research initiatives.
• Collaborate in cross-departmental and multi-institutional projects, workshops, and public awareness programs to advance agricultural productivity and stewardship.
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of laboratory- and field-equipment, and stay updated on market trends, technological advancements, and scientific developments in agronomy/analytical chemistry.
• Supervise and coordinate farm workers, assigning and monitor tasks.
• Monitor resource utilization (water, fertilizers, equipment) to ensure efficiency.
• Manage daily farm operations including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
• Carry out any other activities as required by the reporting manager.
